About Blurcast
Want to tell us how great (or rubbish) we are? Maybe you have a suggestion for the site? Whatever your query, you can contact us by emailing: info@blurcast.tv
What's the big idea?
Blurcast is the first dedicated Blur video site offering registered users the ability to view hours of rare and unreleased on-demand content, sourced from the private collections of long-time fans.
Blurcast was originally conceived in 2005 as an internet radio station after the demise of the official blur-radio.com. After a year of broadcasting exhausted our back-catalogue, the station was closed and work began to reinvent Blurcast in a bigger and better
incarnation. A lot of time and money has been spent on obtaining the material you see on the site over an 11 year period. We've discovered loads of really great stuff and we want our fellow fans to discover it too.
With recent developments in web video and the prospect of our finds being relegated to a cardboard box and aging VHS tapes, the brand new Blurcast was born. We feel our objective of creating the ultimate Blur fansite has been realised and we are really proud of our creation. We hope you love it too!
Content policy
First and foremost, we are not here to piss anyone off... we just want to give genuine fans the chance to see footage that would otherwise be lost in the sands of time or has little prospect of future commercial release.
We operate a strictly non-commercial policy. This means that we will only include material that has not already been released as or part of a commercially available product. Should a video offered on Blurcast later become available commercially, we will immediately remove the relevant material from the site. Blurcast has been setup by fans of the band for fans of the band and we have absolutely no intention to profit from the service we provide. Videos are streamed within a privately controlled system and are available to our community of registered users only. We kindly ask all of our users to view our videos from within the site only and refrain from attempting to download or view video files independent of our embedded player.
